This is a poem I recently wrote. I've always wanted to do something like ~ alexpardee's "Raquel Part 2" [link] (Which is one of my favorite pieces on DA btw) The poem was originally going to be about one person, but it began to be about a collection of the people I've been with.

The pictures from the film strip are of the actual guy I was talking about in the begining of the poem and of myself. I used very few brushes and this "project" has been something I've been working on for the past couple months whenever I've had some spare time. On a side note, some of the things I talk about in the poem actually happened years ago.. so in sense it took me a very long time to write about all of this. I hope you enjoy it

PS-can anyone find my old icon? hehe...

An Update
I didn't know that this piece would do so well :) Now that I look back on it, I would have written it differently and maybe in the future I'll just take the original and mess with it.. but for the time being, I just wanted to say thanks. The ones who have been 'watching' me for awhile know Jake (and Jason!) and you guys all rock my world. :horns:

THANK YOU

:( (Sad) Aw.
Such a wonderful piece...so emotional....and really - made me cringe of having these thoughts now. Not sure what I would do if I lost my girl Kim.
Beautiful words, and such a creative way to present them.
I love it. Love

I love this style with everything put together. A few drawings, a poem, some photography. All mixed. Great job Shanna! Love

I saw that picture of You on your site, heh. In the thumbnail it looked like You manipulated it to make it look like You were wearing shoes. LOL
And I found your icon.. ;) (Wink)

With a bit more of brushworks, perhaps this could become a nice grunge piece. For the text lines, You know. ;) (Wink)

So massive and emotional
it's really beautiful in its complexity

Printing it out on A3-size still wouldnt do it justice ;) (Wink)

Two thumbs way up

It's a wonderful piece. Thumbs Up

It does show the effort you put into it. Typography varies and looks very good at parts. I understand what are you trying to express here. This is great. really :D (Big Grin)

My Pink account :bulletblue: ~soninha-place :bulletblue:
The writing is very emotional and personal--feels like it shouldn't be me reading it. The collaboration of other pieces works nicely as well.
