enclosed worlds don't appeal to me.

Follow the shuffling feet,
the bloodied shapes

Unmistakable, undeniable, guilty;

With the perfect clarity of ragged eyes

How many secrets do they hold?

I can't even imagine how many there must be.

Great, dark skies with tiny, twinkling lights.

Stars are trusted by people.

I don't go anywhere.
To do anything. So I sit there,
Twining my fingers together in boredom.
Except - I don't have to be.
Really. I could call a friend.

The answering machine picks up.
Eventually I leave a message to call me back.
And I cry, because I hate being alone.
Rewinding my VHS tape, I play my favourite movie.
Sad one, though. It's Fried Green Tomatoes.

I see all these other people moaning and groaning about it
Because they haven't found anyone yet.
They use that word for it? "Found"?
What, is it something you just stumble across without meaning to?

If that's it, love sounds pretty damn inconvenient.
I mean, you're not prepared for it.
You don't know exactly what to do with it,

And things like that mess up everything.

Those star-eyed idiots say it isn't so.
That it's supposed to be unexpected.

But still get resented and horribly treated.
My kindness has continued to be taken for granted
So now my care has become dienchanted.

But doing so woudle make me worse then those dopes.

the use of red/black and white is fantastic -its like a newspaper in a way - and its got good emotion attached to it with the intensity of the words matching up with the intensity of red, black, stark white. i love how its done -its so very modern and i can see this as a HUGE mural type of thing in a museum - bravo girl -this is a great example of your style in using words in some graphic form to make art further projecting the meaning behind the words
